I was so very happy when Lola asked me to do a maternity shoot with her and Brandon, that I started brainstorming ideas right away! Lola and I have worked together for a couple of years, as she is my absolute favourite make-up artist extraordinaire, so this was definitely an extra special treat for me. It was hard to choose images for this post, because clearly, this gorgeous couple can’t take a bad picture.
Our day was a classic wet Salt Spring special, so we started our afternoon shoot at my studio. From there, we moved on to a beautiful property that boasts not only a boat house, but the cutest little red bard you’ve ever seen… Add to that some blankets, a couple of umbrellas and some balloons, and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a fantastic maternity shoot… even in the rain!
Shortly after this Lola gave birth to Leo… we did our newborn photo shoot with Leo when he was just over 10 days new, and I can’t wait to share those images with you!
Thanks for all of your enthusiasm and creativity Lola & Brandon, it was a cold and rainy day, but I somehow forgot all of that when I was with the two of you!
