This lovely family of six recently contacted me to do a family photo session. It had been a while since they had taken family photos, and now that Lindsay, their daughter, was going on a two month trek through Asia, and their son, Sean, was studying at school in Waterloo, they realized that time was of the essence!
Now, maybe I should explain why I say this is a family of six… You see, Debbie and Peter told me right off the bat that they wanted their dogs Penny and Sophie in their family portraits too. When Lindsay and Sean went off to school, Peter and Debbie acquired replacements… in the form of two beautiful, friendly, energetic golden retreivers - Penny and Sophie!
Our photo shoot took place on their lovely property on Mount Tuam, where Peter and Debbie recently moved. The property overlooks the Salish Sea which made a magnificent backdrop for their family photos! It was a sunny, windy day, and Peter was eager to share his creative vision making this an incredible session.
Debbie later told me that she was thrilled her family got to do this photo session because it reminded them all of just how much fun they have together when the entire family is finally able to make it to the same place at the same time!
Thanks Debbie, Peter, Lindsay, Sean, Penny and Sophie for including me in this wonderful day, I love capturing families in their homes where they feel most relaxed. Sitting and chatting with you once our session was over on your incredible sun deck just soaking in the rays was a real treat too!
